Fareham's Wider Business Support Scheme

**Scheme is now closed to new applicants**

The Council has recently established a framework of training providers to offer free support to Fareham businesses.

The Council has created its innovative 'Wider Business Support Scheme' using Government Covid-19 grants in response to feedback from businesses earlier this year that, alongside grants, business were looking to the Council to provide support to assist them grow and diversify following the pandemic.

Fully-funded training can be accessed on topics such as:

• General business advice
• Advice on business growth, scaling up and diversification
• Digital support
• Support for high street businesses
• Support for key sectors of marine, advanced manufacturing and aviation

Businesses can take part through a range of learning tools such as webinars, face to face events (subject to Covid-19 restrictions) or one-to-one support, either as a one-off or over a period of time.

To be eligible, businesses must be based in and have customers in the Borough. More information is available on the business pages of the Council's website.

Businesses seeking support are advised to contact the training providers directly below for more information. Once the business has identified which training provider they wish to seek support from, they will need to complete a short on-line application form  that allows the Council to check their eligibility.

There is further support for businesses of up to a £1,000 to help fund legal and financial advice, via the Voucher Scheme. This scheme is now closed to new applicants. Any vouchers already issued must be submitted by the closing date of 31 January 2022.
