Join us for Fareham's biggest event of the year in the town centre with lots to do for all the family!

Plus there will be community performances, street performers, funfair rides and games, an outdoor market, festive food and drink and more.

Free activities

There will be free activities from 10am-4pm including Christingle making, bubble workshop and shows and graffiti art workshop. There will also be a mini trail around the event.

Buskin' Blitzen

Join us beneath the bandstand throughout the day for Buskin' Blitzen, a fantastic showcase of local musical talent organised by James Westerby Music. Enjoy a variety of performances from talented solo artists and dynamic duos, bringing festive tunes, popular favourites and live entertainment to the heart of the event. Whether you're stopping by for a moment or staying for a full set, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Community Stage

Located outside Millets, our Community Stage will celebrate the incredible talent and creativity within our local area. Enjoy a packed programme of performances from community choirs, dance schools, theatre groups and other local organisations throughout the day. The stage will provide lively entertainment for visitors of all ages before the festivities move towards the bandstand for the exciting Christmas Lights Switch-On countdown.

Outdoor market

Come to celebrate Fareham Light Switch On and shop festive gifts/treats from small businesses at this year's Christmas Market.

Browse the array of unique arts, crafts and gifts from local makers and artisans, including homeware, beauty, Christmas decorations, jewellery, fashion, greetings cards, wreaths and many more!

Flo's Pop-up @ The Courtyard

Independent makers, artisan producers and local businesses are set to take over The Courtyard in Fareham Shopping Centre this festive season as Flo's Pop-Up makes its debut in the town centre.

Created by Portchester and Gosport market organiser Helen Ruff, the new venture will bring together a carefully curated collection of Hampshire-based traders, offering visitors a unique festive shopping experience while helping to breathe new life into a vacant town centre unit.  

Flo's Pop-Up @ The Courtyard will be based within The Courtyard unit in Fareham Shopping Centre and will trade across each weekend from November through to Christmas, including the Christmas lights switch on. Shoppers can expect a mix of gifts, crafts, artisan food and drink, alongside workshops and special seasonal activities. The pop-up will also form part of the shopping centre's 'Festive Thursdays' programme in December.
