New pay and display machines to modernise Fareham
Later this month we will be introducing new pay and display machines to the Fareham Town Centre car parks.
The new machines will still allow drivers to pay with cash or credit card but will also allow contactless payments.
Please note that the new machines will require drivers to enter their vehicle registration number before they can purchase a ticket.
Executive Member for Health and Public Protection, Cllr Cartwright says, "Installing new pay and display machines will be a much easier and more convenient way for residents and visitors to the town to quickly pay for their parking and get on with their day."
There will be no change to prices. Those customers who prefer to pay by cash will still have that option.
The new machines will be installed across three dates: Tuesday 12th December, Thursday 14th December and Tuesday 19th December.
Keep an eye on our social media channels for the details of which car parks will be affected on each of those dates.
For those customers who may struggle to remember their registration number, officers will be handing out registration reminder cards in the affected car parks during the installation of the new machines.
The affected cark parks include:
- Civic Way North
- Civic Way South
- Lysses
- Bath Lane
- Ferneham Hall
- Ferneham Hall Clinic
- Palmerston Avenue
- Youth Centre
- Osborn Road West
- Malthouse Lane
- Trinity Street
- Holy Trinity
