Press Release
21 February 2018
Game on!
An online game to help design a new play area has been launched as part of an innovative consultation by Fareham Borough Council.
The new play area will be located at Laurel Grove in Fareham and is being funded by developer 'Bloor Homes' as part of their new housing development near to Fareham College.
There are various ways to take part in the consultation:
- Online at www.fareham.gov.uk/dreamplayarea. Follow the simple instructions to design your new play area. Simply choose three pieces of play equipment from both the toddler and junior sections and then choose where you want them to go. Once the game ends your design will be automatically saved as a consultation response.
- In person at Broadlaw Community Centre, Bishopsfield Road on Monday 19 March from 4pm-6pm. You can simply turn up and speak to a Council Officer about the plans, play the game and ask any questions you may have.
- Read information about the new play area on our website at www.fareham.gov.uk/consultations or e-mail your comments to consultation@fareham.gov.uk.
Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Cllr Sue Bell said, "This is a great opportunity for families to help design a brand new play area. The comments and ideas we receive will help us to work with a company and build a play area that will cater for different ages and abilities, allowing children and their families to have fun for years to come."
If you have any questions about this new play area please contact the Leisure and Community Team on 01329 236100 or email leisure@fareham.gov.uk.
The deadline for comment responses is 30 March 2018.
