Get Fareham Blooming!

Residents will be able to pick up a packet of free seeds from Fareham Shopping Centre on Saturday 7 April and Monday 9 April from 10am-3pm.

Fareham Shopping Centre has kindly funded 3,000 seed packets, which will feature a mix of summer flowering annuals specifically for cut flowers.

These will be handed out by the Fareham in Bloom team in the shopping centre, at the Council Connect stand between The Body Shop and Accessorize.

Community Gardening Challenge

Entries for the Community Gardening Challenge are now also open. This challenge gives residents, businesses and allotment gardeners the opportunity to show off their gardening skills, with 21 categories, ranging from hanging baskets to school grounds.

Entry is free and open to anyone who lives or has a business within the Borough and would like to show off their green fingered talents. Entries are judged in July and an awards presentation evening will be held later in the year at Ferneham Hall.

The closing date for entries is Friday 15 June. Nominations can be made online. For more information contact the Parks Team on 01329 236100 or email parks@fareham.gov.uk.
