Press Release

14 May 2018

Help us improve Eastern Parade play area

Residents are being asked to choose which new equipment they would like to see added to Eastern Parade play area.

As part of this consultation residents can pick between either a large multi-climbing unit or four smaller items of play equipment to replace the existing trim trail equipment.

Other smaller improvements, such as upgrading the parks picnic tables and painting of the existing equipment will all be carried out as part of the improvement works, that are expected to begin in 2019.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Cllr Sue Bell, said: "The current trim trail equipment is looking old and tired, so we are looking to replace it with something new and exciting. This could be, a large multi-climbing unit that offers lots of different play opportunities through one piece of equipment, or four smaller items of play equipment that offer separate play opportunities, such as a climbing wall and roundabout. I would encourage residents to get involved and tell us what they would prefer to help us get it right."

Visit www.fareham.gov.uk/consultations to get involved or visit our Facebook and Twitter pages. The consultation is running until Tuesday 12 June.

The play area, located in Fareham, is included in our five-year Play Area Improvement Programme. For more information visit www.fareham.gov.uk/leisure
