Scrutiny Board Accepts Executive's Decision
The Council's Scrutiny Board has accepted the Executive's decision to send the Draft Local Plan out for public consultation.
The Scrutiny Board met on Monday 23 October to review the matter after it was 'called-in' (referred to them) by non-executive councillors.
This follows the Executive meeting on October 9 when the new Draft Local Plan was agreed for consultation. The Scrutiny Board's acceptance of this decision means an Executive meeting planned for Tuesday 24 October will not now take place.
Councillor Seán Woodward, Leader of Fareham Borough Council, said:
"I'm pleased the Scrutiny Board has accepted the Executive's decision to send our Draft Local Plan out for consultation. The Council will now begin its consultation. Residents will have the opportunity to go to a Community Action Team (CAT) meeting close to where they live and attend an exhibition about the Draft Local Plan. Planning officers and councillors will be on hand to answer any questions."
Full details of the CAT meetings and Exhibitions can be found on the Council's website at /have_your_say/cats/intro.aspx.
