Fareham has celebrated another year of success at last week's South and South East in Bloom awards.
The Borough received its 14th consecutive winning entry in the Small City category receiving a Gold Award and declared Category Winner.
Fareham in Bloom received The County Award for Hampshire for the highest marked entry in the county.
Fareham's parks and gardens also came out with top awards including:
- Holly Hill Woodland Park - Gold
- Sensory Garden of Reflection - Gold
- Westbury Manor Garden - Gold
- Warsash Common – Gold
- Civic Gardens – Gold
Britain in Bloom 'It's Your Neighbourhood Awards' were presented to:
- Locks Wood Bowling Club – Outstanding
- Burnham Wood – Outstanding
Portchester Crematorium was awarded Gold and named Category Winner in the Crematorium Grounds category.
Northern Junior Community School received a Gold level award for Hampshire in the Our Community category.
Other awards were given to the following:
- Small Conservation Area: Coldeast Conservation Area – Silver Gilt (first time entry)
- Business Landscape: HMS Collingwood – Silver (first time entry)
- Large Village Titchfield in Bloom – Silver Gilt (first time entry)
Executive Member for Streetscene at Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Tiffany Harper, said: "These are outstanding results, which show the commitment and hard work of those who keep the Borough looking beautiful. I would like to congratulate and thank our passionate volunteers and the Council officers involved. Well done to all!"
