Press Release

10 October 2018

Pizza for your thoughts

Young people can help themselves to free pizza at a meeting set up to hear their views about living in the Fareham Borough.

A Y-CAT (Youth Community Action Team) meeting will take place at Crofton Youth Project in Stubbington Lane, Stubbington, on 2 November from 7pm to 8.30pm.

Youngsters aged 11-19 years old are being invited to come along and talk to the leader of Fareham Borough Council Cllr Seán Woodward, and ask any questions or raise concerns about the local area.

Young people are invited to just turn up and everyone who attends will get free pizza at the end of the night.

It's a great chance for youngsters living in the Fareham Borough to have their say on what they think about the local area, its facilities and put forward new ideas for the area.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Cllr Sue Bell, said: "These young people are our future and it's of vital importance that we get their views, ideas and concerns about the local area.

"It's a great opportunity to talk to youngsters in an informal setting and give them the chance to raise any issues – by coming along they could make a real difference to the place where they live."

The meeting will take place at Crofton Youth Project, Stubbington Lane, Stubbington, Fareham, PO14 2PP.
