In December 2016, the Council received applications for the designation of:
A proposed Titchfield Neighbourhood Forum. Their aim was to develop a Neighbourhood Plan for Titchfield.
A proposed Titchfield Neighbourhood Area. This is the area the Titchfield Neighbourhood Forum thought should be covered by a Neighbourhood Plan. Consultation
The Council consulted with the public on both applications between 14 December 2016 and 17 February 2017. In total, 25 responses were received with most supportive of the proposed Neighbourhood Forum and Area.
decisions to designate Titchfield Neighbourhood Forum and Neighbourhood Area were taken at a meeting of the Council's Executive on 6 March 2017. The decisions underwent a call-in period and the designations were formalised on the 20 March 2017. What does this mean?
The Titchfield Neighbourhood Forum is the 'qualifying body' responsible for leading on the production of a Neighbourhood Plan for the Titchfield Neighbourhood Area.
The Titchfield Neighbourhood Forum designation lasts for a five year period from 20 March 2017.
No proposal can be made for another neighbourhood forum within the Titchfield Neighbourhood Area during this time.
Once the designation expires, any existing or new prospective Neighbourhood Forum will need to reapply for formal Neighbourhood Forum designation status.

The Titchfield Neighbourhood Forum is authorised to prepare a Neighbourhood Plan for the Titchfield Neighbourhood Area, which is shown on the plan to the right.

Meeting the conditions by which it was designated.
Meeting the criteria which the Council assessed when making the designation.
Where a body's designation is withdrawn, the Council will give reason/s to the body.
