SafetySafety

Everyone wants to feel safe in their homes and communities and the responsibility for making sure we all do does not lie solely with the police. Fareham's Community Safety Partnership brings together a number of organisations who are working together to reduce crime, anti-social behaviour, criminal damage, violent crime and crimes associated with drugs and alcohol.

It is important that you do what you can too. You can contact our community safety team by email at communitysafety@fareham.gov.uk or by telephone on 01329 824496, 01329 824495, 01329 824520 or 01329 824334.

 Safer Fareham

We aim to keep Fareham a safe place to live, work and to visit, with the Fareham Community Safety Partnership.

 Report it

Anti-social behaviour covers a range of things, including nuisance families, youth disorder, verbal abuse, violent behaviour, drug, solvent and alcohol abuse, harassment and intimidation, damage to property, graffiti and litter. You can help solve problems in your community by reporting it. In this section, you can find out the best way to do that.

 CCTV

We have a network of closed circuit television cameras (CCTV) throughout the Borough to help improve your safety and well-being. Here, you can find out how we work with others to manage the CCTV system and how we ensure it works effectively and legally.

 Anti-social behaviour

Anti-social behaviour can cause problems for local residents and your communities. In this section, you can find out what we mean by anti-social behaviour, what we are doing to try to prevent it and how you and your neighbours can help.

 Vandalism and criminal damage

To help make sure the Borough continues to be a safe and pleasant place to live, work and visit we must all do what we can to prevent vandalism and criminal damage. In this section, you can find out how to report incidents if you see them.

 Keeping safe

The Borough is a safe place to live, work and visit. However, we know that your personal safety is of concern to you so here you can see what we are doing to help and what steps you can take to improve it.

 Domestic violence

Domestic abuse is any incidence of threatening behaviour, violence or abuse. If you need to speak to someone in confidence to get help or advice – whether you are a victim or a perpetrator – you can see how you can do that in this section.

 How safe is Fareham

Find out information about how safe Fareham is, including Crime Reports and Community Safety initiatives.

 Emergency planning

We are responsible for supporting the emergency services and local residents if and when a major incident happens in or around the Borough. At the same time, we must keep our main services running and co-ordinate voluntary groups to help our response. In this section, you can find out more about how we plan, what it means to you and how you can help
