Fareham's Wider Business Support Scheme

We know the last 18 months have been tough for our local businesses. Throughout the pandemic the Council has worked to support businesses, whether this be through Covid-19 grants, help with introducing hygiene measures or work to attract visitors back to the Town Centre.

Feedback from local businesses has told us in addition to this, they wanted help to grow and diversify following the pandemic. That's why we have established a new framework of training providers to offer free support to Fareham businesses.

Our innovative 'Wider Business Support Scheme' offers businesses access to fully-funded training on topics such as:

Businesses can take part through a range of learning tools such as webinars, face to face events (subject to Covid-19 restrictions) or one-to-one support, either as a one-off or over a period of time.

For more information and to sign up, please visit our Wider Business Support Scheme page.

Wider Business Support voucher scheme

The voucher scheme is now closed to new applicants.  Any vouchers already issued must be submitted by the closing date of 31st January 2022.

Training support for town centre businesses

As part of its plans to safely reopen the high streets, Fareham Borough Council commissioned Enterprise South to deliver a fully-funded programme of support for businesses within the Borough.

Find out more at the Save the High Street website External Hyperlink.

Shop Local Shop Safe campaign

The Council also launched a Shop Local Shop Safe campaign to encourage people safely back to the town and district centres.

To support the re-opening of high streets, a new website is available showcasing the shops and services within the town and district centres across the Borough showing their opening times and any Covid-19 safety measures. You can find this at the Shop Local website External Hyperlink.

All businesses in town and district centres should have been contacted to have their information added to the website, but if you are not sure whether your information
is included, please contact
