Request for a Joint Tenancy

If you wish to add a second person onto your Council tenancy, you can do so by completing the Request for a Joint Tenancy form PDF (66 KB) and sending it back to the Tenancy Services Division; your Area Estates Officer will then contact you in due course.

In order to qualify for a Joint Tenancy you must meet the following criteria:

If you do not meet the criteria above then the request will be rejected. Once you have submitted the form you will be informed in writing of the decision made. If you are to be granted a joint tenancy then both people on the tenancy will be required to signed a new secure tenancy agreement.

The Council aims to respond to your application within one month of receiving the completed form.  If you have any queries on this matter please contact the Tenancy Services Team on 01329 236100 or e-mail housing@fareham.gov.uk.
