Temporary hosepipe ban from 5 August 2022

Southern Water has taken the decision to introduce a temporary ban on some water uses for all Southern Water customers in Hampshire.

The hosepipe ban will come into effect from 5pm on Friday 5 August, until further notice.

The restrictions prohibit the use of a hosepipe, including sprinklers, irrigation systems, dripper hoses and similar devices.

You can find out more information about the restrictions at www.southernwater.co.uk/retail/save-water External Hyperlink.

Please note: Only those whose water is supplied by Southern Water are affected and you can find a postcode checker External Hyperlink on the Southern Water website if you are unsure.

Remember small changes can make a huge difference to water supply levels across our region.

Take care to stay hydrated

It's also important during the hot weather to stay healthy and hydrated. Keep your re-usable water bottle topped up, placing a jug of tap water in the fridge to give you a readily available chilled supply, so you can stay refreshed and water efficient.

Are you worried about paying your water bill?

It's always worth approaching your utility provider if you're worried about paying a bill – they may be able to help.

Southern Water has a range of different tariff options and support for customers who are struggling.
