On Tuesday 5 June 2012, from 12.00 - 4.00pm Fareham Borough Council and Sarisbury Athletic Cricket Club are hosting a special Diamond Jubilee Celebration.
The event will be held on Allotment Road Recreation Ground, Allotment Road, Sarisbury and will not only celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee, but Allotment Road Recreation Ground being secured as a Queen Elizabeth II Playing Field as part of the Fields in Trust Challenge.
At 1.00pm a special dedication and plaque unveiling will be made by the Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Seán Woodward to celebrate Allotment Road Recreation Grounds new status as a permanently protected Queen Elizabeth II Playing Field.
Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Councillor Connie Hockley said, "This event along with the other events that are being held over the Diamond Jubilee weekend promise to be amazing".
To make this family fun day even more enjoyable there will be a range of exciting activities, including bouncy castles, face painting, the Fareham Play Ranger Zone with Jubilee souvenir craft activities, inclusive sports equipment and soft play, and egg and spoon races. There will also be traditional games, including a coconut shy, various crafts stalls, Kwik Cricket, stocks and a children's entertainer along with much more for children, young people and families to enjoy.
