The National Coastwatch, Solent Watchstation, has received £720 from Fareham Borough Council’s Community Fund to purchase binoculars and two-way radios.
Executive Leader for Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Seán Woodward said:"As a charitable organisation, National Coastwatch are the eyes along their area of operation, which includes the coastline of Fareham. The equipment which will be purchased will enable them to continue their service of safeguarding the users of the beach and waters”.
The Community Fund is available to support projects that benefit the local community or environment within the Borough of Fareham. Any resident, or organisation based in the Borough can apply for money from the Community Fund.
