In 2008, Seafield Recreation Ground in Hill Head was transformed, with new changing room facilities, two adult football pitches, two mini soccer pitches, a specific training grid, and a new children's play area.
Due to the scale of this development, this particular site, in additional to developer contribution funding was supported by the Football Foundation with a £320,000 grant.
In Autumn 2012 improvements to the southern boundary of the Crofton Bowls Club were carried out at a total cost of £6500.00. Improvements consisted of replacing the current fencing with new green weld mess fencing, and digging out the remains of the slowly dying conifer hedges and replanting the boundary. These improvments will enable the site to be more secure and improve it's overall visual appearance.
