Come along to Fareham Borough Council's Nutcracker Christmas Lights Switch On event in West Street Fareham on Saturday 19 November.
This FREE family-friendly event is a firm favourite in the Council events calendar with thousands of Fareham residents coming along to the pedestrianised area of West Street to join in with face painting, fun fair rides, festive gift stalls, delicious food and drink and activities all day between 10am and 7pm.
This year's theme is the classic Christmas story of 'The Nutcracker' and the day's festivities will be overseen by the Sugar Plum Fairy herself. There will be performers throughout the day, both on the main stage and entertaining the crowds along West Street.
Father Christmas will, of course, also be making an appearance and the Christmas lights will be switched on at 5.30pm by the Mayor of Fareham, Cllr Mike Ford. The evening's festivities will all be topped off with the spectacular finale show which is not to be missed.
There will be a small charge for the fun fair rides, but all other activities on the day will be free of charge. The day's events are once again supporting the 'Live Love Local' message, encouraging people to shop local and help support Fareham's range of independent businesses.
Check back for more information nearer the time, or keep an eye on our social media pages.
Stall holder pitches and food concessions are now fully booked, however if you would like to be added to the waiting list, or express an interest in trading at future events, please get in touch.
Fareham's Nutcracker Christmas trail will launch on Saturday 19 November and run until Saturday 17 December.
Follow the trail around Fareham's festive town centre and be in with the chance of winning a prize!
