Local Plan Engagement Strategy
Draft Engagement Strategy Consultation
We are seeking your views on the draft Engagement Strategy
(431 KB) between 24 August and 2 October.
Why are we Consulting?
Under the Government's new plan-making regulations, local planning authorities are required to prepare and consult on an Engagement Strategy at the start of the Local Plan process. The Engagement Strategy will set out how communities, stakeholders and other interested parties can be involved in preparing the Local Plan and once adopted, will replace the Council's current Statement of Community Involvement (SCI).
We recognise that people engage in different ways and want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate. We are therefore seeking views on how communities, residents, businesses and stakeholders would like to be kept informed and involved throughout the preparation of the Local Plan.
Your feedback on the draft Engagement Strategy will help shape how the Council consults and engages with residents and stakeholders during the preparation of the Local Plan and beyond.
Our draft Engagement Strategy seeks to ensure that everyone who lives, works, studies or invests in Fareham has an opportunity to participate in shaping the borough's future.
