The Council has produced a draft Statement if Community Involvement (SCI) (4 MB) and we would like to know what you think of it. The SCI sets out how everyone can get involved in developing and deciding on the local planning polices and planning applications that help shape Fareham. The SCI also outlines the types of consultation and engagement methods we will use to involve people and groups in the decision making process.

Fareham Borough Council is asking people what's important to them when choosing where to park in the town centre in a consultation running until Monday 28 November. You can have your say by completing this short survey .
The consultation is part of a number of pieces of research that will help inform a draft vision that will aim to meet the needs of Fareham's modern community by encouraging a range of shops and facilities, ensuring we continue to provide the right level of parking, as well as considering future housing needs.
To determine what future parking provision there should be in the town centre, we need to understand what car parks people use and don't use and the reasons behind their choices. This builds on the survey work we undertook earlier in the year to understand the current level of use for parking across the town centre.
Council Officers will also be present in the town centre at certain times during this period, asking people where they like to park and why. You can also pick up a paper copy of the survey from the Council's Civic Offices.
Traffic management consultations within Fareham Borough are available to view on the Hampshire County Council web portal .
We often ask you questions about equality as part of consultation. If you want to know why this is or whether you should answer them the 'why should I answer these questions' (26 KB) leaflet should help.
If you have been redirected to this page, your survey response has been submitted successfully. This page lists all of our current consultations so please visit us again soon. In the meantime, if you have questions about consultation, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
