A local football team has been able to purchase two portable shelters after Fareham Councillors granted over £4,500 in funding. The new dugouts at Burridge AFC were made possible after a £2,000 from Cllr Seán Woodward's County Councillor grant and £2,565 Fareham Councils Community Funding programme.
The new dugouts which provide shelter for players can be wheeled away at night, reducing the chances of them being vandalised.
Western Wards CAT Chairman Cllr Ford, said that "The football season has just started but the dugouts will provide adult, youth and away teams some welcome relief when the weather gets bad throughout the season".
The Community Fund is available to support projects that benefit the local community or environment within the Borough of Fareham.
