Press Release

11 May 2015

Consulting with young people

Fareham Borough Council is asking 11-17 year olds to take part in a survey to find out what's important to them when looking for somewhere to hang out in the Borough.

This follows Hampshire County Council's recent announcement that the funding available to support local youth projects is to be significantly reduced.  Fareham Council wants to identify how best to use any available funding for youth activities in the Borough.

Executive Leader for Leisure and Community Cllr Connie Hockley said "We want to know what matters to young people when looking for something to do and somewhere to go. What you tell us will help make sure that we meet young peoples' needs as closely as possible with the funding available"

You can have your say before Monday 25 May on the Council's website at www.fareham.gov.uk/consultations or on the Council's Facebook page.
