Fareham Borough Council is asking for comments on the draft parking guidance issued for non-residential development, such as shops, offices, sports facilities and surgeries in Fareham.
The guidance document is called a Non-Residential Parking Standards Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) and it supplements the Local Plan. It provides detailed guidance on how much parking should be provided to meet the needs of a wide range of commercial developments and community facilities within the Borough other than housing schemes.
You can view the SPD and comment on the changes by clicking on the link on the Council's website /have_your_say/consultations/intro.aspx
You can also view paper copies of the guidance at the Civic Offices reception and at all libraries in the Borough.
Councillor Keith Evans, Executive Member for Planning and Development, said "I would advise anyone interested in the new non-residential parking guidance to look at the information on the Council's website and comment on the proposed document."
