Fareham Borough Council is making improvements to the St Michaels Play Area in Locks Heath and would like to hear from all local residents about what new play equipment and facilities they'd like in the park.
Local residents are invited to an outdoor event at St Michaels Road Play Area on Tuesday 3 May from 2.00 - 5.30pm where the users of the park (youngsters and their parents) and local residents will be encouraged by Fareham's Leisure & Community Team and Play Ranger Service to share their ideas and opinions about the parks improvements. The event is open to everyone, there will be information and displays to look at, questionnaires to complete, and children and young people can get creative and draw pictures showing what new play equipment they'd like to see at the park. Council Officers will also be available should local residents wish to discuss the proposed improvements further. External funding sources have already been identified to enable the improvements to take place.
Executive Member for Community, Councillor Connie Hockley, said: "This event is a great opportunity for local residents to have their say about what they'd like to see in St Michaels Road Play Area, whilst having some fun in the process."
Copies of the questionnaire have been sent to 200 households close to the park. However any local residents who have not received one and wish to complete a questionnaire about the improvements to the park (and are unable to attend the event on Tuesday 3 May) can request a copy of the questionnaire. Please email: email@example.com or telephone 01329 824440.
