Forty cyclists took part in the Mayor of Fareham's charity bike ride on Saturday, to date raising over �6,000, with more sponsorship money coming in.
The cyclists joined the Mayor of Fareham, Councillor Trevor Cartwright on a 70 mile bike ride around the Isle of Wight on Saturday 9 July, to raise money for his chosen charities for 2011/12, The Cystic Fibrosis Trust; Toe in the Water; and Warsash Wasps.
The Mayor of Fareham, Councillor Trevor Cartwright, said: "I am extremely grateful to all the cyclists who took part, to the generosity of their sponsors and to the local organisations, in Fareham and on the Isle of Wight who have given their support. We had a brilliant day, with a wonderful atmosphere and raised a fantastic amount of money for local charities."
