The closing date for schools and colleges to register for the 'Get Set' educational programme and 'Get Set Network' is Friday 16 December 2011. Fareham Borough Council is encouraging all schools and colleges across the Borough to join.
The Get Set Network is a special community of schools and colleges which are:
There are exclusive rewards and opportunities available for GET SET schools and colleges. Any school or college in the UK can become a member of the Get Set Network and receive rewards and recognition from London 2012, but the closing date is 16 December 2011.
Executive Leader for Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Se�n Woodward, said: "Following on from the announcement that the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay Route is to pass through Fareham, we are keen to encourage local schools and colleges to register for 'Get Set' (the educational programme) and also join the 'Get Set Network'. We currently have 20 schools and Fareham College who are members of the Get Set network, but would like all the Schools and Colleges within the Borough to sign up."
The registering process has been made easier by the provision of a tool kit from The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) which can be found on the Fareham 2012 website.
