The Borough is divided into three Allotment Associations covering Fareham, Portchester and the Western Wards (Locks Heath, Sarisbury, Titchfield and Warsash). They regulate themselves but meet with our parks department regularly.
We have an Allotment Strategy (259 KB) and a five year action plan to ensure standards are maintained and improved and the waiting list for allotments is reduced.
We have produced a new policy / procedure following an increased interest in the keeping of bees hives on Allotment Sites.
A new allotment site has been secured at the former Daedelus Airfield. We do not expect this to be available for a few years so if you would like your name added to the waiting list, please contact the Stroud Green site manager - Bob Davis on firstname.lastname@example.org or 07754227462. As the site has attracted huge interest, only residents in the Hill Head/Stubbington area are likely to be considered for the first plots. The waiting list is currently over-subscribed.
This annual competition is restricted to new allotment holders of Fareham Allotment Association. You are a 'new' allotment holder for your first three years of tenure. Judging is based on how the plot has been prepared and maintained as well as the standard of crops. The winner is presented with a rose bowl.
Portchester Association has a very active calendar with seasonal trips, guest speakers and social events. Membership is open to allotment and non allotment holders for an annual membership fee.
There are two allotment sites, one at Titchfield and another at Segensworth which are privately managed.
The waiting list for both sites is now open and applicants can register their interest by emailing email@example.com.
If you would like more information on sites in the Borough please select an allotment site on the map.
