Bank Holiday collections
On Bank Holidays bins are emptied on the usual day. There is no change over Bank Holiday weeks. Over Easter, all the May and the August Bank Holidays, bins will be emptied on the due day.
Please put your bin out on the edge of the public highway by 6am on the morning of your collection, or the evening before.

Garden waste
Garden waste collections will be confirmed nearer Christmas.
Christmas trees
If you are subscribed to the Garden Waste Collection Service, kindly leave your tree whole and positioned next to your garden waste bin for collection in January on your usual garden waste collection day.

Recycling
Please put paper, card, tins, cans, aerosols and plastic bottles in the blue lid recycling bin. Unfortunately no plastic other than bottles are accepted (no plastic pots, tubs, trays or packaging). Please put everything loose in the blue lid bin, not in bags.
Empty jars and bottles can go in the glass recycling banks around the Borough.
Clothes and textiles can be taken to the textile banks.
Household waste recycling centres (HWRC)
You can take excess refuse or other household items to a household waste recycling centre (HWRC). They are open every day except 25 and 26 December and 1 January, but you will need to book a slot to visit.
