Funerals arranged under Section 46 of The Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984

The Council receives a number of Freedom of Information requests in relation to burials or cremations that have been undertaken by the Council, where there has been no next of kin and where information has been transferred to the treasury solicitors.

The table below contains the information that the Council currently holds in relation to these funerals. The table is updated on a very regular basis and therefore provides the latest information available.

The following table provides information on the costs incurred by the Council when undertaking burials under the Public Health Act 1984.

It is hoped that the above is sufficient to answer the questions you may have but if you should require further information please contact customerservicecentre@fareham.gov.uk or telephone 01329 236100.
