We have recently received some funding from the Government for installation of more energy efficient measures in your home. You will know if your property is included in phase1 of this project because we will have written to you at the start of July 2025. There are two more phases starting in 2026 and 2027 and we will write to those involved then. The aim of this project is to make your home warmer in the winter, more energy efficient and help reduce your energy bills – saving you money!
This page will give you some more information on what to expect during the project.
In the first instance, you will receive a letter from us introducing you to LivGreen. They are the contractor who are carrying out the surveys and works for us, and you can find out more information about LivGreen on their website .
LivGreen will be contacting you to arrange an appointment for one of their surveyors to visit to undertake a 'retrofit assessment'. This means that they will be surveying your property to understand what energy efficiency improvements could be made.
LivGreen will carry a letter of authority from Fareham Borough Council and a photographic identification badge will be presented when they knock on your door. The survey will not involve lifting carpets or moving furniture and should take around an hour.
It is important that they are granted access to your property when the appointment is made as there are very short timescales for the works. If they are unable to enter, then the works may not be able to be carried out.
As the surveyor does not work directly for the Council, they will not be able to take requests for repairs. Please can you report these in the normal way on 01329 824471 or visit our report a repair webpage for more information.
No, you will not need to move out. The works we have initially planned for your home will not require you to vacate your propert. More details on what sort of works that are likely to be carried out are detailed below.
There will be an initial survey of your property that will confirm what works are required. We are expecting that many properties will need one or more of the following:
There may be other measures that are identified during the survey, but we will let you know what these are before they are installed.
We are undertaking the works over three years, as the funding is staggered over this period. Once you receive the letter introducing you to LivGreen you will shortly receive a letter from them to arrange your survey appointment. The works should then take place within a few months from that survey date, LivGreen will arrange the works appointments with you direct.

You do not need to do anything but grant access to LivGreen to carry out the survey and the work. We have already identified the properties that may need improvements and have written to the households. If you have not received a letter from us, your property may not be eligible for the scheme.
