Fareham is a great place to live and work, and our Council has a huge role to play in ensuring it remains that way.
Fareham Borough Council has a long-standing reputation for delivering excellent services to residents and businesses, thanks to our loyal and hard-working teams who all share our pride in the borough. Our teams understand what great service is, and strive daily to focus on doing the right thing for our customers. We want to hear from like-minded and talented people who share our enthusiasm, and want to make a significant positive impact for our customers.

We have an enviable track record in punching above our weight and delivering great projects, including:
- £20M investment in our award-winning Fareham Live theatre with supporting car park
- £7M investment in leisure and sport facilities, including transforming the facilities in Fareham Leisure Centre
- Transforming a disused ex-navy airfield into a thriving airport that underpins our award-winning business parks
- Providing business support to scores of start-up and growing businesses at our award-winning Innovation Centre at Daedalus
- Supporting delivery of Welborne Garden Village which will provide 6,000 new homes, 6,000 jobs, schools, a village and district centre, and masses of open space in the coming decades.
- Providing a range of new council homes to meet the needs of our customers
We are proud to have received glowing feedback from a Corporate Peer Challenge in 2025 when our approach to running the Council was praised, as well as the knowledge, skill and hard work of our officers and councillors.
Here at the Council, we are not just transforming our borough, we are transforming ourselves as an organisation. With customers at the heart of everything we do, we have built on the supportive culture within our teams to develop an environment where continuous improvement is sought, empowering individuals to make courageous decisions and embrace new ways of working. We recognise that we get the best results by working together with our partners, and also by having the best people to drive the best possible outcomes for our residents.
We have achieved so much already but, with exciting plans coming forward, there remains much to do. I can honestly say that this is an incredibly exciting time to join us.
