Duration: 45 mins - 1 hr 15 mins.
Parking: Car Park off Thatcher's Copse.
Accesibility: Paths boggy in wet weather, stiles involved.
Comments: No short cut, care should be taken as the cliffs are prone to erosion.
From the car park start the walk by taking the path to the west, through the woods. This will eventually lead you to open fields.
Follow the path round the edge, keeping the field to your left. Continue on this path and you will reach a farm track. Take the path between the track and the field, still keeping the field on your left hand side. This will eventually lead you out onto the track, which you must follow round to the right, into Brownwich Farm
Take the first left hand turn. This will lead you through a metal gate and back onto the footpath. Follow this route until you reach the sea. As soon as the path opens out you will see a footpath upwards to your left. Follow this path up and continue along it, with the fields to your left until you reach a stile for a path which cuts between two fields. Go over this stile and follow the path between the fields until you reach the woods.
Follow the path to the left, with the woods to your right, until you reach the entrance to the woods which you emerged from at the start of your walk. Take the path back through Thatcher's Copse and you will soon be back at the car park.
From M27 Junction 9 follow signs for the A27. You will quickly reach a large roundabout. Take the turning for the A27 East, towards Fareham. Take the first right at the first roundabout, down St Margaret's Lane. Follow this road round to the left, into Coach Hill, and take the first right hand turn after the bend. You should now be in Posbrook Lane. Follow this country lane round two 90 degree bends (at this point known as Triangle Lane) crossing a stream between the two. Just past these bends you should see a sign on the right for Thatcher's Copse. Take this turning, which will lead you to a car park.
Titchfield Haven, Meon Road. From Thatcher's Copse turn right into Meon Road. Continue along this road which will take you along the Solent. You will
pass the picturesque Hillhead Harbour. The road curves around the harbour to the right, then just before it turns sharply to the left you will see a car park entrance to the right. Park here - the entrance to Titchfield Haven is just across the road.
