We manage six skate parks across the Borough to provide sport activity for young people. They aim to offer a stimulating challenge to children and young people who are too old for existing play areas (predominantly aimed at 4-8 year olds), or who do not want to take part in structured youth activities.
Each site provides an area for young people to congregate safely and entertain themselves without being 'moved on' by the police or asked to leave by local residents. Each has a variety of recreational equipment and seating areas.
We have installed metal skate parks which are suitable for BMX riders, skaters and skateboarders. They were developed in partnership with local young people, residents and other stakeholders.
They are maintained by our grounds maintenance team. You can report any damage online using a report a problem form.
