Let's celebrate Fareham pride June 2026Fareham Pride

LGBTQ+ Pride Month in Fareham

This June, Fareham worked with a number of partners to deliver a vibrant programme of events to support LGBTQ+ Pride Month.

Pride History Exhibition

Fareham Library hosted a brand-new Pride History Exhibition, offering a thoughtful and engaging journey through LGBTQ+ history. Featuring key milestones, personal stories, and landmark moments, the exhibition invited visitors to explore and reflect as part of our first town-wide Pride programme.

This exhibition had been put together by Y Services and their young people.

LGBTQ+ Shows at Fareham Live

Across the month, Fareham Live presented a special series of LGBTQ+ inspired performances and shows. This exciting lineup showcased diverse voices and celebrated LGBTQ+ culture.

Flag making Workshops

Crafty Makery based in Fareham Shopping Centre hosted flag making workshops in conjunction with Portsmouth Pride during the week leading up to the Pride Picnic.

Fareham Pride Picnic

As a highlight of the month, Fareham Pride Picnic took place in the Civic Gardens. Attendees brought their picnic blankets, enjoyed live entertainment organised by Downtown Pompey, met local LGBTQ+ community groups, and helped us celebrate Fareham's first Pride in a welcoming and joyful atmosphere.

The picnic was well attended and provided a safe and relaxed space for everyone to enjoy.

The Golden Lion (PO16 7AE)

The Golden Lion was decorated with pride bunting and held a variety of LGBTQ+ events.
