Fareham Pride
Celebrating LGBTQ+ Pride Month in Fareham
This June, we're excited to launch Fareham's very first LGBTQ+ Pride Month celebration, bringing a vibrant programme of events, activities and experiences to the heart of our community. Throughout the month, Fareham will come alive with colour, creativity and opportunities to learn, connect and celebrate together.
Pride History Exhibition – 6-19 June
Fareham Library will host a brand-new Pride History Exhibition, offering a thoughtful and engaging journey through LGBTQ+ history. Featuring key milestones, personal stories, and landmark moments, the exhibition invites visitors to explore and reflect as part of our first town-wide Pride programme.
This exhibition has been put together by Y Services and their young people.
LGBTQ+ Shows at Fareham Live
Across the month, Fareham Live will present a special series of LGBTQ+ inspired performances and shows. This exciting lineup will showcase diverse voices and celebrate LGBTQ+ culture. Event listings will be released soon.
Fareham Pride Picnic - 13 June 11am-2pm
As a highlight of the month, join us for the Fareham Pride Picnic - a relaxed, family-friendly gathering in the Town Centre. Bring your picnic blanket, enjoy live entertainment, meet local LGBTQ+ community groups, and help us celebrate Fareham's first Pride in a welcoming and joyful atmosphere.
Town Centre Decorations
To mark the occasion, Fareham Town Centre will be decorated throughout June with Pride-themed colours, displays and banners. These vibrant decorations will help create a warm, inclusive and celebratory atmosphere across the High Street and surrounding areas.
Town Centre businesses are encouraged to decorate their windows for the month of June.
Fareham Pride 2027
In 2027, we hope to create a larger scale Fareham Pride event but we need you to get involved. Please contact Leisure@fareham.gov.uk if you are interested in sharing ideas, attending as a performer, trade stand or food concession.
