Why Does This Measure Matter?

This measure shows the total affordable housing properties built on private developments, by registered providers (also known as Housing Associations) and Fareham Housing (the Council) during the year.

Information About This Chart

For some people, the costs of renting or buying a property on the private market are too high. The Council has a responsibility to ensure that they have access to a range of 'affordable housing' alternatives. In addition to affordable homes built by Fareham Housing and registered providers we also work with private developers to ensure that a range of property types, sizes and tenures are being built as part of new housing developments, to meet affordable housing needs in the borough.For more information visit Affordable Housing Supplementary Planning Document.
