Delivery of Homes Against Requirement

Why Does This Measure Matter?

This measure shows the number of homes completed within a specified three year period compared to the number of homes the Government required to be completed within the Borough within the same three year period. If the number of homes completed within the three year period is 75% or less of the number of homes required, then the Council must take into account additional matters when making decisions on planning applications for new housing. Whilst the Council is responsible for granting planning permissions for the building of new homes, the delivery of those new homes is primarily the responsibility of private housebuilders.
