Lifting Equipment Checks

Why Does This Measure Matter?

Although lifting equipment, such as personal hoists, and through-floor lifts are subject to the same regulations under LOLER as passenger lifts, they have the additional requirement that they must be inspected and serviced every six months.

Information About This Chart

Responsibilities also differ regarding inspections, with lifting equipment, such as hoists, being the responsibility of Hampshire County Council to repair and maintain, with Fareham Borough Council remaining responsible for the maintenance and repair of through floor lifts.
