Planning Decision Due on IFA2 Reserve Matters
A special meeting of the Council's Planning Committee will be held at 2:00pm on Friday 17 November in the Civic Offices to consider reserve matters relating to the National Grid Interconnector and new public open space at Daedalus.
The reserve matters follow on from planning permission given earlier this year in respect of National Grid IFA2 Ltd's proposed electricity interconnector at Daedalus and a new area of public open space. They include:
- Details of access, appearance, landscaping, layout and scale of the new area of public open space and the converter station buildings.
- Details pursuant to planning conditions of the outline planning permission including converter station noise, radio and telecommunication interference and electromagnetic fields.
- Construction traffic management plans.
- Construction environmental management plans for both the converter station and open space.
- TV and radio interference details.
- Converter station drainage.
Written reports for each of the above items will be published on the Council's website on Thursday 9th November 2017. Copies of the agenda can also be viewed in person at the Civic Offices.
Chairman of the Planning Committee, Cllr Nick Walker, said:
"This special meeting of the Planning Committee is open to the public and I would encourage residents to come along to the meeting to hear more about the IFA2 plans. There will also be an opportunity to have your say.
