Equality and Inclusion

Fareham Borough Council welcomes the diversity of its population and is committed to ensuring that all those who live, work and visit here are able to participate in all activities. Developing strong and inclusive communities is a key Council objective and the details on this page provides useful links and details of the work being done by the Council. 

Equality Objectives

The Equality Act requires that all councils have at least one objective. The Council objectives set out the aims for a four period with specific actions to be taken. 

Understanding Diversity

The Equality and Human Rights Commission External Hyperlink provide advice and guidance on the Equality Act. Their website provides a great facility for understanding the current legislation and its requirements. 

A Diverse Workforce

The Councils aims to have a diverse workforce that represents the population of the Borough. The annual workforce profile, provides an overview of the people currently working at Fareham Borough Council.
