This March, Fareham Borough Council will take part in the country's biggest community effort, which encourages the community to work together to clean up their local area.
The Council is seeking volunteers to take part in our event which will be at Warsash Village on Friday 16 March from 10am - 2pm. The focus will be to clean up the area around the public toilets near the car park on Warsash Road.
The main tasks will include re-planting shrub beds, replacing old hedges, sowing wild flowers, cleaning bins, and litter picking.
Fareham in Bloom volunteers, Fareham Borough Council staff members, and members of the local community will take part on the day.
Executive Member for Streetscene, Cllr Tiffany Harper said: "The Great British Spring Clean encourages us to work together as a community to improve the landscaping around our villages. We would encourage all residents to take part, not just in Warsash, but across the Borough."
To volunteer, simply send an email over to parks@fareham.gov.uk. All equipment will be provided on the day. All volunteers will meet in Warsash Road car park at 10am.
If you wish to set up your own clean up initiative, visit the main campaign website at www.greatbritishspringclean.org.uk .
