Council scoops national award

Fareham Borough Council's PR and Communications department has been recognised for its outstanding work with a top national award.

The team were named Public Sector Team of the Year at the CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) Pride Awards at a ceremony on Friday 30th November.

The CIPR Pride Awards is a nation-wide awards scheme, recognising excellence in public relations and communications.

In addition to producing all of the Council's regular online and offline communications which include the Council's magazine 'Fareham Today', over the last year the Council has also delivered a broad range of publicity campaigns including the Council's Draft Local Plan, Daedalus 100 and litter...

Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Seán Woodward, said: "Our PR and Communications team plays a vital role in informing and engaging residents about the issues and changes that affect them most. I'm delighted this hard work has been recognised with a national award – well done to all involved."
