Press Release

20 February 2019

We are looking for tradespeople to work with us

An exciting new tender opportunity has arisen for Fareham Borough Council’s Responsive Repairs contract.

The Responsive Repairs Team look after thousands of homes and buildings across the Fareham Borough. Going forward, instead of having a single provider for repairs we would like to be able to call on a range of individuals and companies. It is anticipated the contract will run for the next five years and is open to all trades including carpenters, electricians, bricklayers, plumbers, roofers, decorators and more!

To help new or smaller companies get involved in the process, the Council is hosting an information event in the Octagon Room at Ferneham Hall, Osborn Road, Fareham on Monday 4 March from 6-8pm.

Companies and individual tradespeople who are interested in working with the Council are invited to come along to speak to the team face-to-face, find out the benefits of working with the Council and find out more about the procurement process. There will also be soft drinks and pizza!

Executive Member for Policy and Resources, Councillor Woodward said: “This is a great opportunity for tradespeople to get involved and work with the Council. Whether you are an individual working for yourself, or a small company, I would encourage you to come along to our information evening and find out more.”

A maximum of two people from any single company can attend the event. To help us with the catering, please email procurement@fareham.gov.uk if you would like to attend.

Guidance on how to get involved in the tender process can be found on the Council’s website at http://www.fareham.gov.uk/business/business_with_the_council/intro.aspx. For more information please call 01329 236100.
