Sponsorship opportunities available for D-Day 75

Businesses are being invited to step forward to sponsor a D-Day 75 community event at Solent Airport.

Fareham Borough Council is asking local companies to sponsor different elements of the weekend on Saturday 8 June and Sunday 9 June.

It’s a fantastic opportunity for businesses to showcase their company to an audience of around 15,000 people and successful sponsorship will enable the Council to offer a bigger and better event for the whole community.

Solent Airport at Daedalus is the perfect place to commemorate the occasion as it was the busiest airport in the UK with more than 400 aircraft deployed – the largest number from any UK airbase.

Opportunities range from being a headline sponsor, to backing arena and stage entertainment.

Chairman of the Daedalus Steering Group, Cllr Trevor Cartwright, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the Council and local businesses to work together at a huge community event.
“We are asking anyone who wants to publicise their business to get in touch with us – let’s make this a real community occasion for us all to remember.”
