Learn to sow the perfect meadow

Have you ever wanted to learn how to sow and grow a meadow? We are holding a free meadow sowing class on Tuesday 9 April.

The event will be held at Jellicoe Drive open space, Sarisbury, Fareham from 1pm – 3pm. Entry is free, and residents can just turn up on the day. Each attendee will be given a free seed packet to take home. Cold drinks will be provided.

Executive member for Streetscene, Councillor Simon Martin, said: "There has been increasing interest in growing meadow flowers over the past few years, so we hope this will be a popular workshop for our residents to enjoy."

This event forms part of our Fareham in Bloom campaign, which encourages local communities - from private garden owners to large businesses - to provide bright and colourful planting schemes. Fareham in Bloom has raised the profile of our parks and green spaces and helps to develop a sense of community spirit and local pride.
