Have your say on Warsash Neighbourhood Forum

Residents are being asked to have their say on plans to set up a new Neighbourhood Forum in Warsash.

Villagers have come together and want to create a new Neighbourhood Forum and a Neighbourhood Area with the aim of drawing up a Neighbourhood Plan in the future, to set out their vision for Warsash.

Fareham Borough Council has started a consultation which will run until Tuesday 21 May to get the opinions of people who work, live or have a business in the Warsash area.

The Council is consulting simultaneously on the setting up of a forum and the designation of the area it could cover. If it goes ahead, a Neighbourhood Plan could  contain planning policies to guide development in an area, but plans would need to be in line with the strategic policies of the Council’s Local Plan.

Executive Member for Planning and Development, Cllr Keith Evans, said: "Neighbourhood Forums can play an important role in how land in their area is developed. We want to hear your thoughts on whether you support the idea of setting one up for Warsash."

The consultation details can be found at www.fareham.gov.uk/WarsashNP. A paper copy can be obtained by contacting the Council’s Planning Strategy and Regeneration Team on 01329 824403 or email planningpolicy@fareham.gov.uk.

A comments box will also be situated at Victory Hall, Warsash, for people who want to return forms.
