Free pizza at youth meeting

Young people are invited to give their views on living in the Fareham Borough before being given free pizza as a thank you for their time.

A Y-CAT (Youth Community Action Team) meeting will be held at Whiteley Community Centre on Friday 10 May between 7pm and 8.30pm.

Fareham Borough Council is urging youngsters aged 11- 19 years old to come along to the event and give the Council their opinions on facilities, put forward ideas and raise any concerns they might have about the area.

Council Leader, Cllr Seán Woodward, is hosting the evening and will answer questions on any local issues. Everyone who attends will get free pizza at the end of the night.

The meeting will take place at Whiteley Community Centre Gull Coppice, Whiteley PO15 7LA.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Cllr Sue Bell, said: "This is a fantastic chance to meet face to face with young people to get their views on how we could improve the local area.

"It’s so important to listen to our youngsters, hear their suggestions and address their concerns.

“It’s an informal get together and young people really could make a difference by coming along to the event.”
