Public meetings for residents to have their say

Residents of the Fareham Borough are being invited to come along and have their say on the local area at a public Community Action Team (CAT) meeting.

Fareham Borough Council has set up five dates at different venues for people to put their questions, raise concerns and give opinions to the Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Seán Woodward.

There will also be updates from the local police at the meetings.

The second part of the meeting will give residents the opportunity to give their views on the issues and options for future development in the Borough as set out in the recent special Draft Local Plan issue of Fareham Today.

The meetings are held twice a year to give residents the opportunity to talk directly to the Council leader, local councillors and officers in an informal setting.

All meetings will take place from 7pm until 8.30pm as follows:

Before each meeting there will be an exhibition on the Draft Local Plan issues and options where people can find out more and speak to members of the Council’s Planning team. These will run from 2.30pm to 6pm at the same venue.

Cllr Woodward said: “I would urge people to attend these open meetings to hear about what is happening in our Borough and to ask questions and give their views.

“Community Action Team meetings are a great chance to meet and listen to the people of Fareham to hear their opinions and ideas. In the past these meetings have been very successful and well attended and I hope as many residents as possible will come along.”
