Growing exotic flowers in Fareham

Have you always wanted to grow exotic plants? Learn about the plants that have flourished in this country from across the globe at a talk hosted by the Horticultural Team at Fareham Borough Council.

The talk will take place in our exotic and beautiful Sensory Garden in Fareham on Thursday 8 August, 1pm – 2:30pm. No need to book, just turn up! Light refreshments will be provided.

The event forms part of a programme of activities supporting our Fareham in Bloom campaign, which encourages local communities - from private garden owners to large businesses - to play part in caring for our environment and providing interesting and colourful planting schemes. Fareham in Bloom has raised the profile of our parks and green spaces and helps to develop a sense of community spirit and local pride.

Executive member for Streetscene, Councillor Simon Martin, said: "This workshop is a lovely opportunity for residents to get involved in this years’ Fareham in Bloom project. It’s a free session, so come along and learn all about the exotic side of Fareham’s Park.”
