Fareham in Bloom is back!

Green fingered residents are invited to a free event launching this year’s Fareham In Bloom competition.

Bloom Day will take place on Saturday 28 March at Fareham Shopping Centre, outside Debenhams, between 9:30am and 4pm, to kick start a series of floral events throughout the year.

Executive Member for Streetscene, Cllr Simon Martin said: “Following the huge success of Bloom Day last year, we are thrilled to be able to hold the event again. This year will be even more special as we celebrate 25 years of Fareham in Bloom. I would urge all residents to come along and join in the celebrations; there will be something for everyone!”

Activities on the day include;

The event is sponsored by Fareham Shopping centre. Long-term sponsor St Margaret’s Nurseries in Titchfield and volunteers from Fareham In Bloom will be at the event to offer tips and answer any questions about gardening. The Wynton Way Horticultural Therapy staff and service users will also be joining the team to help with building the bug house. Residents can also find out more about the project work of Fareham in Bloom and the events to follow throughout the year.
