Winner announced for Fareham Borough Council VE Day bunting competition

A father and daughter are celebrating after winning an Afternoon Tea for two delivered to their home, whilst adhering to social distancing guidelines.

It comes after Fareham Borough Council encouraged residents to take part in VE Day festivities by providing a “Stay At Home Street Party” pack, which included a Spotify playlist, a VE Day quiz and the chance to win an Afternoon Tea by designing their own VE Day themed bunting.

Fareham Borough Council Executive Leader Councillor Seán Woodward said: “I’m delighted that we had the opportunity to run this competition as a reward for taking part in the VE Day festivities. The Council received a great deal of entries and it was tough to pick a winner as the overall standard was high, they were all were well-drawn and colourful.

“I would like to offer my congratulations to Lily and her father, their eye-catching design was chosen as the overall winner.”
